Frequently Asked Questions

Straightforward answers to the questions we hear most from homeowners and property managers across Metro Detroit.

General

Since 2006. We have been designing, building, and maintaining outdoor spaces across Metro Detroit for 20 years. The company is family-owned and holds memberships in both the Michigan Green Industry Association (MGIA) and the Michigan Nursery and Landscape Association (MNLA).

We serve the entire Metro Detroit area including Warren, Sterling Heights, Troy, Rochester Hills, Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, Shelby Township, Royal Oak, Clinton Township, and Macomb Township. Visit our service areas page for the full list of communities we work in.

Yes. We serve high-end residential properties as well as commercial and multi-family sites. Our commercial services include snow management, grounds maintenance, and large-scale landscape installation. The scope and equipment differ, but the quality standards are the same.

Services

Both. Most of our projects are design-build, meaning we develop the concept, create the plan, and execute the construction with our own crews. This single-source approach eliminates the communication gaps and coordination problems that arise when a separate designer hands off plans to a separate contractor. You work with one team from the first meeting through the final walkthrough.

Absolutely. Many of our projects involve enhancing, expanding, or correcting existing landscapes rather than starting from scratch. We assess what you have, identify what is working well, and design improvements that integrate with the existing elements. Mature trees, established plantings, and hardscape features you want to keep are incorporated into the new plan.

Yes. Our lawn care and maintenance programs cover mowing, edging, seasonal cleanups, pruning, mulching, fertilization, and irrigation management. Many clients who invest in a landscape installation also enroll in a maintenance program to protect that investment long-term.

Process

We start with a phone conversation to understand what you are looking for and confirm we are a good fit. Next is an on-site consultation where we walk your property, discuss ideas, and assess site conditions. From there, we develop a detailed design with material selections and a line-item proposal. Once approved, we schedule construction, complete the work, and conduct a final walkthrough. The entire process from first call to project completion varies from 2 weeks for simple installations to 3 months for complex builds.

We offer complimentary on-site consultations for most residential and commercial projects. During the visit, we assess the property, discuss your goals and budget range, and provide enough information for you to make an informed decision about next steps. Detailed design work begins after we mutually agree to move forward.

Yes. We handle all permit applications for projects that require them, including retaining walls over 4 feet, outdoor structures with gas or electrical connections, and grading work in regulated areas. Permit requirements vary by municipality, and we know the specific requirements for each Metro Detroit community we work in.

Pricing and Scheduling

Project costs vary widely based on scope, materials, and site conditions. A focused planting renovation might start around $5,000. A complete backyard transformation with patio, planting, lighting, and a water feature can range from $30,000 to $100,000 or more. We provide detailed written proposals with line-item pricing so you know exactly what each component costs before committing.

We can discuss payment terms for larger projects. Many clients also use home equity lines or home improvement financing through their own banks. We are happy to work with your preferred financing method and structure project phases to align with your budget timeline.

The primary construction season in Michigan runs from late April through mid-November. However, design and planning work can begin at any time of year. Scheduling consultations during the winter months ensures your project is designed, permitted, and queued for the earliest possible spring start. Summer is our busiest period, so early booking secures priority placement on the schedule.
